  • Thank you for your interest in attending Arizona’s 2026 IDEA Conference.

    Registration is a multi-step process that includes:

    1. Submit a seat request through this form for review by the IDEA Conference Committee.

    2. If approved for payment, you will receive instructions to submit payment through the Arizona Professional Learning and Development System (APLD). Payments submitted without an approved seat request will be canceled.

    3. If notified by email, submit the Arizona’s 2026 IDEA Conference Supplemental Form to complete registration.

    Registration fee: $425

    New this year, each seat request must be accompanied by an active APLD Learner ID. This number is required to confirm the APLD account that will be associated with the payment for each seat request.

    If you do not have an APLD account, you must first create an ADE Connect account: 

    • Schools (Districts/LEAs/PEAs): Attempt to add a new user through ADE Connect.
    • If the method above did not work or you are not a school (District/LEA/PEA) employee: Register for an ADE Connect account.

  • Arizona's 2026 IDEA Leadership Preconference

    There will be a leadership preconference held on August 17 for Arizona special education directors and site‑based leaders focused on strengthening special education practices and improving outcomes for students with disabilities. Attendance is limited, and an application is required.

    To ensure equitable access for districts and charter organizations statewide, we may need to adjust group sizes to maximize participation.
  • By‑Proxy Seat Request (Multiple Seats or Submitted on Behalf of Others)
    A request is considered a By‑Proxy Registration if:

    • You are requesting multiple seats, or
    • You are submitting a request on behalf of one or more attendees, even if only one seat is requested.

    By‑proxy registrations follow a different process and include the following requirements:

    • Seats are purchased as a bundled transaction, meaning all seats must be paid for under one flat fee, calculated at $425 per seat.
    • Bundled by‑proxy seat purchases are non‑refundable.
    • Seat quantities cannot be reduced once payment has been submitted.
    • Do not request more seats than you intend to use.
    • Payment instructions will be emailed after your request is reviewed.
    • A Registration Supplemental Form will be emailed to collect required attendee information.
    • The Supplemental Form must be completed by each attendee by Monday, July 27, 2026.
    • Attendees who do not submit the Supplemental Form by the deadline may experience delayed onsite-check in.

    If you need additional seats beyond what you originally requested, you must submit a new seat request through this form.

  • In order to streamline the 2026 IDEA Conference's registration and payment process, we are requiring the submission of each registrant's APLD Learner ID. This ID allows the IDEA Conference Committee to match each registrant's registration information to their appropriate payment information and ensures each registrant has an active APLD account.

    To locate a registrant's APLD Learner ID, please follow these steps:

    1. Log into APLD

    2. From the APLD dashboard (Home) page, select the "Print Transcript" option from the menu, located on the left-hand side of the screen, underneath the Learner's information.

      NOTE: Depending on when you last signed into your account, you may first be required to update your account information, e.g., LEA, dietary needs, accommodations, etc. These required updates will be displayed on your screen, and you will be unable to access other features of APLD until account details have been reviewed, updated (if needed), and saved.

    3. Once the Learner Transcript has been accessed, locate the Learner ID in the top left of the Learner Transcript

    4. Please keep a record of your Learner ID.

      IMPORTANT: Please record and enter this number accurately, as it will be used to reconcile your seat request with your APLD payment. If we are unable to match your seat request with a corresponding payment, your request may be delayed or denied. We recommend saving a PDF copy of your Learner Transcript so you can reference it as needed.

  • All reserved seats will be required to have an ADE Connect account to complete registration and payment in APLD. More information about creating ADE connect accounts will be provided at the end of this form.*

    Registration is a two-part process. Submission of this seat request is step one. Once your seat request has been reviewed, the IDEA Conference Planning Committee will send instructions on next steps.

    Once you’ve submitted your seat request, we won’t be able to make changes to it. If you need to update anything, please contact the IDEA Conference Committee to cancel the original request so you can submit a new one with your updated needs.

    Lodging Information

    The conference room block rate for Arizona’s 2026 IDEA Conference is $199/night (not including taxes and fees) for the nights of the conference (Tuesday, August 17–Thursday, August 20, 2026; rooms are not available Thursday, August 20, 2026). Make your reservation at the The Grand Hyatt Scottdale Resort’s conference website or call the Reservations Center at 1-888-236-2427. The last day to book at the conference rate is July 30, 2026.
